Welcome to the Scottish windsurfing Festival.

The largest windsurfing event in the scottish calender.

In its second year this fun packed festival is open to all and this year we are striving to pull off a bigger and better event with even more to do on the water and off. It must be the best day out ever and you never know we might just get some wind for the 07 event.

LATEST UPDATES:
++Activity Charges++
Most of our activities are free but some do hold a small charge per session.
All Windsurfing coaching lessons Provided by Sports Scotland Cumbrae and Jonny Freshwater will be charged at £5 per session, times and bookings will be available on the day.
Sailing in the City is a unique sailing experience for children aged between 8 and 14 years. These sessions will be run over the weekend and are FREE to all so get yourself to the RYA stand for more info.

++Camping update++

We are proud to announce that the festival campsite will be open
on  Friday 21st from 6pm.
Please remember that only registered participants can use the camping facilities.
Due to running costs the campsite will incurr an additional charge of £2 per person.
Due to the earlier camping time registration will be opened at 6pm on the Friday evening
Registration costs are as follows Adult £10 child £5.

++Oldest gear in town competition++
For you guys out there who have a garage full of old windsurfing gear. we want to see you down on the beach swowing off what you have been hiding in the back of your garage. The format for this competition is very simple turn up with your old gear on Sunday. You will gain points for age, rarity, quantity and then finally points for its sailability the competitor with the most points wins. It could not be easier
So go on see what you can find at the back of the garage and give us some nostalgia a great prize to be won.

++Saturday Night Party++
The Saturday night party is shaping up to be a bit special this year.
The SWF are firstly very proud to announce that the crazy PIPING MILLER will be kicking off the evenings entertainment by piping us into the Marquee. A unique sound for the festival this year will be coming from the samba band "SAMBALISTIC". The evening will be fused together by the legendry dj's STU and HARRY. And we may even have a guest apperance from SUGAR RAY.
We look forward to seeing you there.

Troon Volleyball Club
Troon Volleyball Club will be down over the weekend providing Beach Volleyball activities for everybody. Coaching and demonstration matches on offer, so get yourself along for ago.

Parks of Ayr
Parks of Ayr are delighted to be supporting what proved to be a very successful event in 2006.  We will be bringing along some display vehicles from across our range as well as providing support vehicles from Land Rover for the weekend.

Sailrepair
Sailrepair confirm there presence at the festival.
John Blackwell from Sailrepair said "we are looking forward to the event and hope its a great success, we will be bringing a sales marque with all sorts of goodies including harnesses, mast extensions, deck plates, harness lines, wetsuits, wetssuit boots etc. masts, booms, a couple of sails, lots of bits and peices."
